Examples of Die Casting Part Images. Dies casting is the meticulous process of forcing molten metal into a mold. It is usually done by employing high temperatures and pressures. Majority of die casters in the metalwork industry employ different kinds of die casting techniques in order to achieve a certain feature that is not readily cast-able with the mold being used and the casting being made. Other secondary operations like these include polishing, plating, buffing, tapping a hole and painting.
Other methods include the pore-free casting process which is used when the casting required no porosity. It more or less employs the process of conventional die casting except that oxygen IS utilized before each shot and injected into the die. This results in the formation of tiny dispersed oxides during filling, eventually minimizing the formation of gas bubbles and ultimately eliminating porosity. Besides the greater strength of the die produced, the product can still be heat treated and welded. The process can be used with zinc, lead and aluminum alloys.
Another method is the Heated-manifold direct-injection die casting. In this process, molten zinc is used and forced through a heated manifold. The manifold leads into a number of heated mini-nozzles which all end into a molding cavity. This process is employed because of its lower cost per part, by virtue of scrap-reduction, energy conservation, and improved surface quality that is made possible by slower cooling cycles.

Light Fixture Die Casting Parts
New Examples of Aluminum Lighting Fixture Parts
Kinetic Die Casting Company is an Aluminum Die Casting Supplier in America. Here we discuss more examples of Aluminum Lighting Fixture Parts. Aluminum is a lightweight, non-toxic, and non-magnetic metal. It is also resistant to corrosion and can be easily molded and formed into many different shapes. Additionally, there is plenty of aluminum to be had so issues regarding the availability of the metal are nil. Because of these properties, aluminum is one of the most ideal metals for the production of various goods, such as lighting fixtures.
Aluminum lighting fixture parts can be found in various medical lighting products as well as in medical offices where there are hanging light fixtures made from aluminum. Other examples of aluminum die casting lighting fixture parts are endcaps on light fixtures and housings for various kinds of light fixtures, such as parking garage lighting, street traffic lights, walk lights, and high temperature lights. Aluminum lighting fixture parts also come in the form of decorative lighting poles manufactured from rustproof aluminum that is given extra protection against rusting by a powder coat finish. Additionally, aluminum is utilized for light fixtures themselves, such as bullet light fixtures, wall sconce fixtures, and outdoor coach lights. Even though aluminum is lightweight, the metal is highly resilient against extreme weather conditions and seasonal changes. Additionally, the production of aluminum lighting fixture parts is generally cost-effective as aluminum is quite inexpensive.
